Celebrating community-based murals completition with artist Joe Dreher
Yesterday I had the pleasure of playing a DJ set as we celebrated the completion of the community-based murals that artist Joe Dreher painted with the kids at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club here in Atlanta, in collaboration with WonderRoot. As I spin some records, a crew of break dancers taught the kids some rad moves and artist Ashley Anderson made portraits of the kids. Once the dance party was over, it was time for a group picture in front of the main mural and a very cool session of throwing paint-filled balloons onto a canvas that Joe prepared for all of us. Definitively a great day! I am truly grateful for being considered by WonderRoot over the years and being part of community-based projects such as this. Such an honor.
